FOREST FLOOR - 14" x 14", MIXED MEDIA Another experimental piece - I guess each one is this series is experimental. After painting the canvas background, I stamped all over it using mostly architectural images. Then I decided to experiment with Tyvek - the white material from mailing envelopes. I painted the Tyvek, then stitched it in a "window pane" or "double door" type grid. After heating it, outside so I wasn't breathing the fumes, it shrunk and distorted. I layered it on top of the canvas over a piece of painted fabric mesh. The mounting board was painted with pumice gel medium to add texture.
