REAWAKENING - 14" x 14", MIXED MEDIA April in the south is a time of incredible color. Our yard is full of azaleas, dogwoods, redbuds, and newly emerging leaves. I was inspired by the colors of spring and decided to use that as the palette for my April piece. I used the trimmed strips of the canvas as the binding to finish the edges. The title refers both to the reawakening of the plant world, and to my reawakening as I continue to explore art mediums.
