Claire Lee     A self-confessed “paper junkie,” Claire Lee’s ongoing process of creating knows no boundaries. From decoupage picture frames and collage cards to singular antiqued wrapping paper and glass mosaics, it’s clear she relishes the creative process even more so than the finished product. “When you create,” she believes, “your hands let the world see what is in your heart.” Using mixed media as diverse as clay, fabric and found objects in her collage and decoupage creations, she’ll work and rework an object with layer upon layer of artistic rendering. Everything from paintbrushes to printing becomes another step in the evolution of her imaginative line of altered books, picture frames and cards. Her company, Claire Originals, is selling her designs in the form of cards and gift items to the retail stores around the country.
