Rebecca Sawyer Rebecca Sawyer became an aspiring artist at the age of two, when she started masterpieces in water color on her grandmother's white walls. Altered book albums, which are her current passion, came about quite by surprise. While taking an altered book out of press, after creating a drawer, it stood up and fanned out just like the mini albums she had been creating. So, the idea formed and she excitedly created a fairy "Altered Book Album" made with lignin and acid free materials to keep all those precious photos and ephemera in a safe, fun, and interactive environment - forever. This idea seems to be gathering momentum, and as Rebecca states "it is wonderful knowing that you are creating something that everyone can use, and more and more people are becoming excited and interested in" and, "everyone has the ability to create an altered book album for their priceless memories and I am more then excited to show everyone how. No rules, no mistakes, just create!"
